The people of the internet is always up for challenges. Do you still remember some of the most popular internet challenge that shookt the world?
One of the most popular internet challenges that went extremely viral is the Ice Bucket Challenge. There is also the Running Man Dance Challenge, 100 Layers of Foundation Challenge, Condom Challenge, Saan Aabot ang Vacant Time Mo? Challenge, Puberty Hits Challenge, and many more.
In the beginning of 2017, another internet challenge was introduced: The Spicy Noodle Challenge.

Guess what? The internet and the whole world went CRAZY!

There are a LOT of videos on YouTube made by people who attempted to do the challenge. It was pretty funny, you know. While some of them cried, there are also some who even vomit because of the spiciness of the noodles.
After watching those reactions, I became really curious about how spicy it is. So I decided to look for the ‘World’s Spiciest Ramen’ and luckily, I was able to buy one for ₱110.

And because I want more challenge, let's do 2x Spicy!

I am ready to take the challenge!
The first bite was okay. It was just like any other spicy noodles that I have tried in the past. The flavor was great, the noodles were chewy, and spicy. On the first bite, though the spice is still bearable, you can already feel the heat down to your esophagus.
When I reached my fourth bite, now THAT is SPICY! That was the time my mouth felt numb. The hotness of the noodles started to creep on my entire mouth. My lips are on fire, my tongue is burning, my throat feels so hot, and even down to my stomach I can still feel the hotness. I felt like my tongue is being electrified. And even after the challenge, the numbing effect still won’t go away. It was not just spicy, it was PAINFUL!
REVIEW TIME:
If I will rate the spiciness of the noodles, it will be a 9 out of 10. Why not 10? It is because even if it was really spicy, I can still eat it. And this is just only the 2x, there is still 4x.
In terms of flavor, the noodles were pretty tasty. It was actually savory, but unfortunately the spiciness is just so overwhelming to the point that your tongue can go numb until you can't taste anything anymore and feel nothing but fire on your mouth. I will also give it a 9 out of 10.
The noodles, the flakes, and the sauce. To be honest, except from the too much spiciness, these three worked pretty well together. The noodles were thicker than our regular noodles, which I think is also the reason why it is chewy. The sauce is flavorful, only that the spice really overpowers the chicken flavor. The flakes is just little bit of dried seaweed and sesame seeds to add a little bit of crunch to the noodles. I would give this ramen another 9 out of 10.
The price. ₱110 is pretty expensive for just a pack of noodles. But after eating it, I can see why it is pricey. Another reason for it, maybe, because it is imported from Korea. For this, I think the price reasonable so I will give an 8.5 out of 10.
All in all, I will give it a 9.5 out of 10. The whole experience of eating the noodles and doing the challenge is just unbelievable. I didn't know that that kind of spiciness could even exist. I expected it to be really spicy and really hot and it didn't disappoint me. I actually say that it was worth my money, and I'm happy about that. Why not 10? I'm saving the remaining points for the 4x.
I thought being a natural spicy lover will give me the edge on this challenge; well I guess I still need to practice more.
After drinking four glasses of water, eating a piece of cake, and devouring a whole pack of chocolates, I managed to finish the challenge and I have only two words to say:
KINAYA KO!
