Happy New Year!!!
It’s always great to embrace the new year together with your loved ones.
But aside from your family and friends, spending your Holidays will never be complete without --
*Drum roll*
FOOD!!!
Well, I can’t blame you guys.
In this time of the year it’s always hard to resist your hamon, your lechon, your fruit salad, and your cold beer. Also, in this particular occasion you forget about your diet, your calorie intake, and even your weight.

But after all the handaan, that’s the only time you finally realized that your jeans are a bit tighter than usual. Stepping on the scale after celebrating the new year will always be one of the scariest things in the world. And because of this, there goes the everlasting, undying, immortal new year’s resolution of all time — Operation: Weight Loss!
Good news for all the people of internet who wanted to lose those extra pounds because there will always be a long list of diets that they can actually try in order to lose weight. One of the most popular internet diets is the Military Diet.
According to Healthline.com, Military Diet is a type of diet especially made for the US Military in order to keep them in shape as fast as possible. This particular diet is claiming to help you lose up to 10 pounds within a week. Amazing!
Military Diet requires specific food that you have to take within 3 days. The reason for that is to cut down the calorie intake of the body and to also change the speed of the metabolism.
BUT!
The real question is – is it really EFFECTIVE? The only thing to find out is by doing it myself.
After searching the internet about the specific foods needed for this diet and watching numerous YouTube videos about it, I am ready to put this diet to a test to know if it is really effective for weight loss.
So, let's start!
DAY 1
Breakfast:
1 Tbsp Baking Soda in Water
1 Wheat Toast
2 Tbsp of Peanut Butter
Coffee/Tea

Lunch:
1 small can of Tuna
1 Wheat Toast
Coffee/Tea

Dinner:
100 g Lean Meat with Garlic, Salt, Pepper
1 Banana
1 Apple
1 cup of Vanilla Ice Cream (I can't afford vanilla ice cream so I substitute it with frozen yogurt)

How was Day 1?
Day 1.
I could say that Day 1 is the toughest day. It is because my body is not used to eat only three times a day (I usually eat at least five times.) As you can see, based on the photos, I was not able to a lot of food, and I was also restricted from eating snacks. My energy is definitely much lower than my normal days when I get to eat enough food. The reason for this maybe is because my body is still adjusting to my new diet.
DAY 2
Breakfast:
1 Egg
1 Toast
1 Banana

Lunch:
1 Egg
5 Saltine Crackers (I was not able to buy saltine crackers, so I substitute it with whole wheat crackers)
Cheddar Cheese

Dinner:
2 Small Hot dogs (steamed/boiled/fried)
1 cup broccoli
½ cup carrots
1 Banana
1 cup vanilla ice cream (Just like Day 1, I had frozen yogurt instead of vanilla ice cream)

How was Day 2?
The second day of the diet is not as hard as the first one. Although I can tell that my body is now starting to adjust with my new diet, my energy is still low just like the first day. I feel so tired and I had a lot of cravings. As you all know, I can't have any snacks but I still managed to finish my second day of military diet.
DAY 3
Breakfast:
5 Saltine Crackers (For this day, I substitute the saltine crackers with another type of crackers)
Cheddar Cheese
1 Apple

Lunch:
1 Egg
1 Wheat Toast

Dinner:
1 Can tuna (medium)
1 Banana
1 Cup vanilla ice cream

How was Day 3?
Third day! If I could compare it to my second day, I feel more tired and hungry during the third day. Based on the photos, the food during the third day is lesser than what I had during the second day. My energy is still low, I still feel hungry, but I feel so happy to finally end my 3-day military diet.
RESULTS:
After doing the military diet for three days, I manage to lose *another drum roll please*
2 Kilos!!! 2 KILOS!!! Or about 5 pounds!
Wow~
In just 3 days, I was able to lose 2 kilos! Isn't it amazing?!
I was so happy to have this result after surviving the difficult days of the diet.
The Military diet claimed to help me lose 10 pounds in a single week, but I only managed to lose almost half of it. Though I only lost about 5 pounds, I am still happy because I did it in just 3 days. Maybe the diet's effectiveness also depends on the person's system or body. Who knows, maybe you can lose more pounds than I did.
Special tip for those people who also want to try this diet, drink as much water as you can. On my part, I think I didn't get to drink a lot of water because I was always asleep because I feel tired (I think one of the side effects of the diet.)
Also, if you are willing to really do this diet, you need to have a LOT of patience and discipline. You need to have focus and self control because you need to finish the three days. This 3-day diet will never going to be easy, especially if you have a lot of food on your fridge.
